U.S. Cotton Crop Condition Maintained At 57% Good/Excellent

MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in its weekly crop progress report for the week ending 12th July, 2015, maintained the U.S. cotton crop condition at 57 percent good/excellent, same as the last week. Crop has been rated 35 percent fair.

According to the USDA report, 61 percent of U.S. cotton crop reached squaring stage in all the 15 major cotton growing states during the week, below five year average of 70 percent. Cotton setting bolls totaled 18 percent, behind the five year average of 24 percent.
