MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) - The Cotton Association of India (CAI) has kept its cotton output projection for 2015-16 season beginning October 1, 2015, unchanged from previous month at 370.50 lakh bales (170kg each).
The projected balance sheet drawn by the association estimated total cotton supply for the season 2015-16 at 463.15 lakh bales while the domestic consumption is estimated at 325.00 lakh bales thus leaving an available a carry forward stock of 138.15 lakh bales, similar to a month ago.
Cotton arrivals in the country as on October 31 estimated at 16.55 lakh bales (706.69 tonnes).
