Mumbai, March 19 (Commoditiescontrol): Clove prices have maintained stability in various regions, despite supply pressure stemming from increased imports and decreased exports.
In Kottayam, prices range from Rs. 860 to Rs. 870 per kilogram for Comoros-origin cloves, Rs. 860 to Rs. 880 for Madagascar-origin cloves, and Rs. 890 to Rs. 920 for Sri Lanka-origin cloves. Meanwhile, domestic clove prices in Kottayam have remained steady within the range of Rs. 950 to Rs. 980 per kilogram.
The domestic market in Kottayam is experiencing pressure due to higher supply resulting from increased imports and decreased exports. Despite this, prices have managed to hold relatively stable.
In Shimoga, prices per kilogram have remained unchanged from the previous session, hovering between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,020. Similarly, clove stems are priced at Rs. 160 per kilogram in Kottayam, consistent with the prices observed in the previous session.
