Ahmedabad, March 09 (CommoditiesControl): Coriander prices have seen an improvement of Rs 20 per 20 kg in response to rising local demand as the arrival of coriander continues to increase in the state.
Traders note a surge in the coriander market, driven by both local and export trade. The overall market outlook depends on the trends of coriander arrivals in the upcoming days.
The coriander market is experiencing heightened activity, and today's improvement in prices is indicative of the strong demand prevailing in the market. Around 90,000 bags of coriander, each bag weighing 40 kg, arrived in the state today, with an average price ranging from Rs 1,425 to Rs 1,950 per 20 kg.
In Gondal Mandi, coriander arrivals were steady today due to storage capacity, with the resumption of arrivals scheduled for next Monday. However, the market witnessed a trading of the 30,000 bags pending from yesterday, with prices ranging from Rs 1,626 to Rs 2,251 per 20 kg. In Rajkot Mandi, more than 12,000 bags arrived today, commanding prices between Rs 1,350 and Rs 2,100.
Other markets in the state also reported coriander arrivals, including 12,000 sacks in Halvad, 2,500 sacks in Dhangadhra, 4,500 sacks in Jetpur, 21,000 sacks in Jamjodhpur, 7,500 sacks in Junagadh, 9,000 sacks in Amreli, 7,000 sacks in Jamnagar, and an additional 10,000-12,000 sacks from nearby areas.
