Mumbai, March 19 (Commoditiescontrol): Mentha oil prices experienced a downward trend on Tuesday, driven by subdued demand and supplies. Current stocks of mentha oil are reported to be negligible, and both local industry and overseas market demand remain weak.
In Chandausi market, mentha oil prices were quoted slightly lower at Rs. 1026-1028 per kilogram. Similarly, prices in the Barabanki market witnessed a decline of Rs. 5, settling at Rs. 995 per kilogram.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the benchmark contract of Mentha oil for delivery in March recorded a decrease of Rs. 1.4, trading at Rs. 927.10 per kilogram. The contract reported an open interest of 367 and a volume of 154.
