Jaipur, 26 Feb (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed prices were flat on Monday amid increased demand and supply with firm tone in mustard oil but cake prices declined. Prices of almost all imported edible oils were quoted higher at Indian ports today. As per the traders, mustard seed prices are expected to remain under pressure as harvesting season is on full swing and arrivals are expected to increase further in the coming days.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were flat at Rs 5,325-5400 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 3 to Rs 983-984 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices fell Rs 7 to 996-997 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 25 to Rs 2535 2540 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 8 lakh bags across the country, up 75,000 bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 3.25 lakh bags in Rajasthan, one lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, 90,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 15,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 55,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 1.20 lakh bags of mustard seed. Arrivals of old crop were around one lakh bags today.
At Kandla port, CPO prices stayed gained Rs 9 to Rs 835 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices rose Rs 10 to Rs 865 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices gained Rs 10 to Rs 925 per 10 kg. Degum prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 860 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices gained Rs 10 to Rs 910 per 10 kg.
