Ahmedabad, March 16 (CommoditiesControl): The pace of cumin arrival in Gujarat has notably slowed down, contributing to stable prices in the market. Today, cumin prices remained unchanged due to decreased trading activity typical of the end of March. Export trade is also experiencing a slowdown currently. Additionally, traders anticipate pressure from new arrivals from Rajasthan post-April 5. The market's trends now depend on the upcoming sales of cumin.

Around 60,000 bags of cumin arrived today in Gujarat, with the backlog of pending goods steadily increasing. In Unja, arrival of around 30,000-32,000 bags of new cumin reported, with rough cumin priced at Rs 4,300-4,350 per 20 kg, the best quality at Rs 4,900-5,150 per 20 kg, and Bombay Bold at Rs 5,300-5,900 per 20 kg. Trading volume stood at around 20,000-22,000 sacks.

In Rajkot Mandi, new arrivals remained closed, with 11,000 bags pending. Trade occurred at Rs 4,400-4,900 per 20 kg. In Gondal Mandi, 2,800 bags arrived, with prices ranging from Rs 4,750-5,200 per 20 kg depending on the quality.
