10 Jul 2017 6:15 am
Ivory Coast and Ghana

heavier during the weekend period. Temperatures average above to near normal.

this period.
East Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania)
Highlights: Scattered to widely scattered light showers with locally heavier
favoring northern areas during this period. Temperatures near normal.
Days 1-3: Scattered showers tend to favor north and central areas during this
period. Seasonal temperatures.
West Africa cocoa areas have seen increasing shower and thundershower
activity recently, improving conditions for flowering cocoa trees and
Scattered shower activity and some easing of stress to cocoa trees through
the east Africa region. More rain is needed.
Episodes of scattered showers in key growing areas of Indonesia and Malaysia
continue. Conditions mostly favor development of cocoa at this time. However,
rainfall will likely be diminishing as seasonal rains shift northward at this
time of the year.
Main crop cocoa in Bahia Brazil is flowering. More rain would benefit. The
mid crop harvest is ongoing.
