U.S. Midwest Soybeans Weather - Jul 16

Midwest corn, soybean and winter wheat highlights 
 
West: Dry conditions. Temperatures variable Friday, above normal Saturday with 
highs in the upper 80s to middle 90s f. 
 
East: Dry conditions or just a few light showers in the south. Temperatures 
near to below normal. 
 
Midwest Corn, Soybeans and Winter Wheat Forecast 
 
West: Dry conditions or just a few light showers in the south Sunday. Dry 
weather Monday. Episodes of scattered showers and thunderstorms 
Tuesday-Wednesday. Some moderate to heavy totals are expected in northern 
areas. Dry conditions or just a few light showers Thursday. Scattered showers 
and thunderstorms favoring  northern areas Friday. Light to moderate amounts 
with locally heavier expected. Dry weather Saturday. Temperatures near to above 
normal north, above normal  central and south with highs mostly in the 90s f. 
 
East: Scattered light showers with locally heavier Sunday. Dry conditions or 
just a few light showers Monday. Mostly dry weather Tuesday.  Episodes of 
scattered showers and thunderstorms Wednesday-Friday. Some moderate to heavy 
totals are expected in northern areas. Lingering light showers Saturday. 
Temperatures near  to below normal Sunday-Monday, near to above normal 
Tuesday-Saturday. 
 
6 to 10 day outlook...Temperatures near to above normal west, variable in the 
east. Rainfall near to below normal north, below normal south. 
 
WORLD SOYBEAN PROSPECTS 
 
        Limited rainfall along with episodes of hot weather in the western 
Midwest increases stress to developing soybeans. This situation bears watching. 
Drier weather would benefit in some eastern areas. 
    Limited rainfall along with episodes of above to much above normal 
temperatures stresses developing soybeans in the northern Plains. This 
situation bears watching. 
    Favorable weather for developing soybeans in the Delta states. 
    A variable rainfall pattern in key growing areas of northeast China along 
with periods of hot temperatures. This leads to variable conditions in key 
soybean growing areas. 
    Moderate to heavy showers in India's soybean growing region during the past 
week. This will maintain adequate to surplus soil moisture for the crop with 
some flooding possible. Any late planting may be delayed.
