WORLD RUBBER PROSPECTS

Episodes of scattered rains continue in southern Indonesia. This likely
means delays to operations and transportation. Rain will maintain adequate to
surplus soil moisture for the trees.
The Monsoon rain has tapered off in southern India while periodic showers
continue in Sri Lanka. Drier weather favors seasonal fieldwork, operations and
transportation while the showers in Sri Lanka helps ease concerns over recent
dryness.
A normal rainy season favors rubber trees in the Thailand area. Seasonally
drier, hotter weather at this time should favor operations and transportation.
