WORLD RUBBER PROSPECTS

Episodes of scattered rains continue in southern Indonesia. This likely
means delays to operations and transportation. Rain will maintain adequate to
surplus soil moisture for the trees.
Shower activity in Sri Lanka and near the southern tip of India during the
winter season will have favored trees while causing some delay to operations
and transportation. The region has been drier and somewhat hotter recently.
Scattered showers redeveloped in Sri Lanka during the past week.
Mainly dry weather or with only isolated shower activity in key rubber areas
of southern Thailand at this time. Typical for the date this will favor
fieldwork and operations.
