Highlights: Dry or with only a few light showers Monday. Temperatures near to 
above normal. 
 
Forecast: 
 Days 1-3: Episodes of scattered to widely scattered thundershowers during this 
period. Temperatures near to mostly above normal. 
 
East Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania) 
 
Highlights: Moderate to locally heavy showers and thunderstorms favoring 
central and southern areas during the past 24 hours. Temperatures near to below 
normal south, near to above normal north. 
 
Forecast: 
 Days 1-3: Scattered thundershowers favoring central and southern areas early 
in this period. Somewhat drier later in the period. Temperatures turn somewhat 
warmer. 
 
WORLD COFFEE PROSPECTS 
 
    Favorable weather for developing coffee in Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais 
Brazil. 
    The harvest is ongoing in Mexico and Central America. 
    The main crop is flowering in Colombia. The mid crop is maturing. 
    Rain has return to previously dry areas in coffee areas of southern 
Indonesia, ending an extended drier spell. 
    No significant concerns for the harvest of coffee in Vietnam at this time.
