Summary: Mostly dry during the past 24 hours. Temperatures above normal. 
 Days 1-3: Mainly dry today. Chance for snow, up to 0.25 inch melted, tomorrow 
into Saturday. Temperatures average above to near normal in the west, above 
normal east during this period. 
 Days 4-5: Dry or with only lingering light snow east during this period. 
Temperatures turn somewhat colder. 
    Adequate soil moisture for oil palm in Malaysia and Indonesia as periodic 
rains continue to hit these areas. 
    Dry, warm weather increases the need for irrigation in the Rabi groundnut 
areas of India at this time. Increasing stress to this crop. 
    Dryness increases stress to developing and reproductive winter rapeseed in 
India at this time. 
    Fall moisture near the Yangtze river valley of eastern China favored 
planting and early development of the winter rapeseed crops. Winter time 
moisture will provide favorable conditions when the crop breaks dormancy in the 
    Winter rapeseed areas in Europe turned much colder during the weekend 
period and early this week. The cold outbreak should last at couple more days 
in the west and a few more days in central and east areas. Temperatures may be 
cold enough to cause some problems for unprotected winter rapeseeds.
