Spot Guar Complex Gain As Future Contracts Move Up, 910 MT Gum Traded

NEW DELHI (Commodities control) Guar complex gained today in spot market of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Haryana as millers have increased guar seed buying. Powder makers also ramped up guar gum split buying. Guar gum powder trade increased to 910 MT in all over the region. Market sentiments improved as future contracts increased on fresh demand from investors. Guar seed arrival was also expected to remain lower compared to previous days.

Millers in Jodhpur increased seed buying prices by Rs. 30 to Rs. 3900-3940 per quintal as they expect better demand for guar gum split. Lower arrival was also pushing prices in upside. According to trader from Srigananagar Mr. Sushil Sharma, guar seed arrival was falling as total crop was estimated lower. Today total arrival was estimated at 18600 bags in all over the region. Mr. Sharma said that the arrival will fall further. However, prices will depend on guar gum and powder demand.

As per market source, today 910 MT guar gum was traded in all over the region. Gaur gum prices was hovering between Rs. 6030-6070 per quintal in Jodhpur. Guar gum powder also gained Rs. 35 per quintal in the region. Guar korma and Choori also gained on better demand. Gaur korma was moving on export prospects while Choori was facing competition from other cattle feed. Choori gains when other cattle feeds were priced higher.
