Mumbai, May 9th (Commoditiescontrol): On the week ending May 9th, 2023, the prices of Kabuli Chickpeas of 42-44 and 44-46 counts declined at the Indore benchmark market due to thin domestic and export demand.
The prices of both 42-44 count and 44-46 count varieties of Kabuli Chickpeas decreased by Rs. 200 /quintal in the Indore benchmark market. Additionally, the Free on Board (FOB) prices for Kabuli Chickpeas with 42-44 and 44-46 counts drop by $20, reaching $1,520 and $1,490 per metric ton.

Trend: Trend:The price of Kabuli Chickpeas is expected to remain stable in the coming week, with a fluctuation of Rs 100-200/100 kg, due to low demand from domestic traders and exporters who are buying in smaller quantities. There has also been a decrease in arrivals, which is currently at 1500-1700 MT per day in Madhya Pradesh. Stockists are holding stock bought at price range of Rs 11,000-11,500/100 kg and are not willing to sell their stock at current prices. According to a trader in Indore, prices may increase in the next two weeks due to pickup in demand from Gulf and other countries, as the global pipeline is empty.
