Mumbai, Apr 26 (Commoditiescontrol): The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) continues to procure gram under the Rabi Operation (PSS), benefiting a total of 695,199 farmers so far. The total quantity procured is 14,90,674.94 at MSP value, valued at Rs 7952.75 crore.
The gram procurement has been carried out in several states nationwide, with Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan being the top contributors.
In Andhra Pradesh, a quantity of 57703.6 MT was procured at an MSP value of Rs 307.85 crore, while Telangana procured 50238 MT at a MSP value of Rs 268.02 crore. Gujarat procured a quantity of 263553.79 MT at a MSP value of Rs 1406.06 crore, while Karnataka procured 74494.52 MT at MSP value of Rs 397.43 crore.
In Maharashtra, the highest quantity of 567373.56 MT was procured at MSP value of Rs 3026.94 crore, followed by Madhya Pradesh with a quantity of 446770.85 MT at MSP value of Rs 2383.52 crore. Uttar Pradesh procured a total quantity of 2901.95 MT at MSP value of Rs 15.48 crore, and Rajasthan procured 27638.71 MT at MSP value of Rs 147.45 crore.
