India’s Chana exports jump in Feb’23

Mumbai, 27 April (Commoditiescontrol): India desi Chana exports witnessed near 10-fold surge in February, thanks to strong demand from neighbouring countries amid tight availability globally.

According to latest data, India’s desi Chana exports stood at 52,495 tonnes during Feb-23 as compared with 5,373 tonnes in same period last year.

Bangladesh purchased 47,518 tonnes in February. India exported 126,846 tonnes from April 2022- Feb 2023, up by 195% from 42,942 tonnes in last year.
