Large Kabuli chickpeas area to decrease 17% in USA; Small variety will increase 42%.

MUMBAI, 3 April (Commoditiescontrol): Growers in the United States intend to plant 340,500 acres of chickpeas, down 4% from the previous year, according to the USDA's seeding intentions estimates.

Small chickpea expected planted area is estimated at 113,500 acres, up 42% from 2022. Area expected to be planted for large chickpeas in 2023 is estimated at 227,000 acres, a 17% decrease from the previous year.
