NEW DELHI, Jan 19: US soybean net sales were at 781,300 MT for the week ended January 11 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, up noticeably from the previous week, but down 6 percent from the prior 4-week average.
US soybean net sales were at 280,400 MT for the week ended January 4.
Increases were primarily for China (465,100 MT, including 332,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,100 MT), Germany (219,300 MT), Indonesia (133,500 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), the Netherlands (68,800 MT, including 62,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), and Mexico (56,700 MT, including decreases of 17,700 MT), were offset by reductions primarily for unknown destinations (374,700 MT).
Total net sales of 1,700 MT for 2024/2025 were for Japan.
Exports of 1,670,700 MT were up 94 percent from the previous week and 56 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (781,900 MT), Germany (219,300 MT), Mexico (168,900 MT), Spain (105,700 MT), and Indonesia (78,500 MT).
Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 2,100 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT) and Taiwan (700 MT).
Export Adjustment: Accumulated exports of soybeans to the Netherlands were adjusted down 84,998 MT for week ending December 7th and 134,309 MT for week ending December 21st. The correct destination for these shipments is Germany.
Late Reporting: For 2023/2024, net sales totaling 2,699 MT and exports 52,699 MT of soybeans were reported late to Saudi Arabia.
Soybean Cake and Meal
Net sales of 349,200 MT for 2023/2024 were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for the Philippines (96,700 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), Morocco (58,700 MT), Mexico (41,200 MT, including decreases of 2,100 MT), Venezuela (36,000 MT), and Colombia (30,600 MT, including decreases of 300 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (30,000 MT), El Salvador (3,900 MT), Belgium (2,200 MT), and Ecuador (2,000 MT). Net sales of 1,700 MT for 2024/2025 were reported for Japan (1,200 MT) and Canada (500 MT).
Exports of 199,400 MT were unchanged from the previous week, but down 22 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to the Philippines (48,100 MT), Mexico (38,400 MT), Romania (23,500 MT), Canada (21,700 MT), and the Dominican Republic (15,400 MT).
Soybean Oil
Net sales of 100 MT for 2023/2024 were down noticeably from the previous week and down 91 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases were for Honduras.
Exports of 300 MT were down 43 percent from the previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destination was Canada.
