NEW DELHI, Nov 30: US soybean net sales were at 1,895,300 metric tonnes (MT) for the week ended November 23 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, up 97 percent from the previous week and 10 percent from the prior 4-week average.
US soybean net sales were at 961,300 MT for the week ended November 16.
Increases were primarily for China (892,300 MT, including 313,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 74,500 MT), unknown destinations (294,900 MT), Spain (123,400 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Italy (100,000 MT), and Mexico (93,200 MT, including decreases of 900 MT), were offset by reductions for Singapore (2,500 MT).
Exports of 1,447,700 MT were down 11 percent from the previous week and 24 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (994,500 MT), Mexico 106,700 MT), Vietnam (82,000 MT), the Netherlands (65,200 MT), and South Korea (61,000 MT).
Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 2,100 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT) and Taiwan (700 MT).
Soybean Cake and Meal
Net sales of 64,600 MT for 2023/2024 were down 68 percent from the previous week and 59 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases primarily for Colombia (30,000 MT, including decreases of 24,400 MT), Mexico (17,600 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), Guatemala (11,400 MT, including 10,700 MT switched from El Salvador and decreases of 100 MT), Canada (6,900 MT, including decreases of 2,200 MT), and Japan (6,100 MT), were offset by reductions for El Salvador (11,100 MT), Honduras (6,300 MT), and Panama (1,100 MT).
Exports of 269,800 MT were down 6 percent from the previous week, but up 9 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (44,800 MT), Guatemala (35,300 MT), Ecuador (32,900 MT), Ireland (30,200 MT), and Japan (28,100 MT).
Soybean Oil
Net sales of 700 MT for 2023/2024 were up noticeably from the previous week, but down 64 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases were reported for Canada. Exports of 400 MT were down 38 percent from the previous week and 41 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destination was to Canada.
