US soybean net sales for Oct 13-19 at 1,378,200 MT, up 1 percent W/W

NEW DELHI, Oct 26 : US soybean net sales were at 1,378,200 metric tonnes (MT), a marketing-year high, for the week ended October 19 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, up 1 percent from the previous week and 43 percent from the prior 4-week average.

US soybean net sales were at 1,371,900 MT for the week ended October 12.

Increases were primarily for China (1,167,000 MT, including 776,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 142,200 MT), Mexico (215,900 MT, including decreases of 900 MT), Bangladesh (172,800 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,900 MT), Taiwan (85,200 MT, including 55,000 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,900 MT), and Italy (50,000 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (425,200 MT).

Exports of 2,384,700 MT--a marketing-year high--were up 20 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to China (1,999,100 MT), Mexico (117,500 MT), Bangladesh (112,700 MT), Taiwan (69,600 MT), and the Netherlands (23,400 MT).

Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 1,900 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT) and Taiwan (500 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal

Net sales of 507,500 MT for 2023/2024 primarily for the Philippines (208,700 MT), Guatemala (63,700 MT), Colombia (51,200 MT, including 6,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), unknown destinations (48,000 MT), and Mexico (40,300 MT), were offset by reductions for Belgium (1,600 MT), Indonesia (800 MT), and the Dominican Republic (500 MT).

Total net sales of 100 MT for 2024/2025 were for Canada. Exports of 238,200 MT were primarily to the Philippines (47,600 MT), Mexico (46,500 MT), Ireland (31,000 MT), Ecuador (29,800 MT), and Jamaica (16,200 MT).

Soybean Oil

Net sales reductions of 100 MT for 2023/2024, including reductions of 200 MT were reported for Canada. Exports of 400 MT were to Canada.
