US soybean net sales for Oct 6-12 at 1,371,900 MT, up 30 percent W/W

NEW DELHI, Oct 19 : US soybean net sales were at 1,371,900 metric tonnes (MT) for the week ended October 12 in the marketing year 2023/2024 starting September 1, up 30 percent from the previous week and 92 percent from the prior 4-week average.

US soybean net sales were at 1,056,800 MT for the week ended October 5.

Increases were primarily for China (946,700 MT, including 622,100 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 16,500 MT), Spain (192,100 MT, including 178,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), Mexico (152,700 MT, including 47,500 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 1,200 MT), Japan (84,100 MT, including 53,300 MT switched from unknown destinations and decreases of 2,000 MT), and Tunisia (30,000 MT), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (85,500 MT) and Malaysia (1,500 MT).

Exports of 1,990,500 MT were up 39 percent from the previous week and up noticeably from the prior 4-week average.

The destinations were primarily to China (1,349,500 MT), Mexico (295,600 MT), Spain (192,100 MT), Japan (106,200 MT), and Indonesia (15,000 MT).

Exports for Own Account: For 2023/2024, the current exports for own account outstanding balance of 1,900 MT are for Canada (1,400 MT) and Taiwan (500 MT).

Soybean Cake and Meal

Net sales of 434,700 MT for 2023/2024 primarily for Canada (166,100 MT, including decreases of 600 MT), unknown destinations (90,000 MT), El Salvador (57,200 MT, including 17,900 MT switched from Guatemala, 200 MT switched from Nicaragua, and decreases of 1,200 MT), Vietnam (53,900 MT, including 45,000 MT switched from Indonesia and decreases of 6,000 MT), and Colombia (31,500 MT, including decreases of 1,100 MT), were offset by reductions primarily for Indonesia (40,300 MT), Guatemala (15,500 MT), Nicaragua (4,100 MT), Malaysia (4,000 MT), and Bangladesh (4,000 MT).

Total net sales of 2,700 MT for 2024/2025 were for Canada. Exports of 193,700 MT were primarily to Colombia (72,800 MT), Mexico (24,700 MT), El Salvador (21,200 MT), Canada (15,800 MT), and the Dominican Republic (14,700 MT).

Soybean Oil

Net sales of 3,800 MT for 2023/2024 were primarily for Canada (3,500 MT, including decreases of 1,500 MT). Total net sales of 600 MT for 2024/2025 were for Canada. Exports of 700 MT were to Canada (600 MT) and Mexico (100 MT).
