Mumbai (Commodities control) – Moong price moved higher, as per quality, on Monday at Jaipur market amid local mills' buying on immediate requirement for crushing. While, Summer crop new Moong declined, as per quality at Veraval market on thin buying.
Moong prices gained by Rs 100 to Rs 6,500-7,100/100Kg at Jaipur market. While, Summer crop new Moong fell by Rs 200 to Rs 6,000-6,500/100Kg with arrivals of 700 bags at Veraval market.
Robust summer crop sowing was reported in Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat on the back of increased water availability following good monsoon last year. MSP was also higher at Rs 7,196/100Kg.

Farmers are still holding kharif crop Moong in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Arrivals and supplies stocked in godowns, meanwhile, are enough to offset current requirements.
