MUMBAI (Commoditiescontrol) – India's Guargum (including Guar meal and Guar split) exports during April-August period dropped 1.75% at 218,165 metric tonnes versus 222,055 metric during the same period a year ago, according to APEDA.
Shipment of Guargum in August month recorded at 40,659 metric tonnes, up 23.73% from 32,860 metric tonnes a month ago, but down 8.23% from 44,307 metric tonnes same period a year ago.
The improvement in Guargum export in August month-on-month basis will provide some support to falling Guargum prices, said a trader.
However the export should rise consistently in the coming months to boost prices of Guargum, he noted.
Guargum October futures were last traded down 0.34%, or Rs 31 at Rs 9,160/100kg on the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Ltd (NCDEX).
