Mumbai, April 4 (CommoditiesControl): Clove markets in Kottayam and Shimoga remain stable, with prices maintaining a consistent trend across both imported and domestic segments. In Kottayam, imported clove prices exhibit steady trend within defined ranges, while domestic prices stabilize after experiencing declines in recent sessions, influenced by increased import activity.
Imported clove prices in Kottayam exhibit stability, with Comoros clove priced between Rs. 840 and Rs. 860 per kilogram, Madagascar clove priced at Rs. 850 to Rs. 870, and Sri Lankan clove priced within the range of Rs. 850 to Rs. 880 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, domestic clove prices in Kottayam remain steady, trading between Rs. 880 and Rs. 900 per kilogram after encountering declines over the past 2-3 sessions. The influx of higher imports contributes to the overall stability observed in the domestic market.
In Shimoga, clove prices stand firm at Rs. 900 to Rs. 920 per kilogram, consistent with the previous session's rates. Additionally, clove stems maintain their price stability at Rs. 125 per kilogram in Kottayam, aligning with rates from the preceding session.
