Mumbai, March 22 (CommoditiesControl): Clove prices have maintained their consistency across various origins and domestic markets, despite underlying pressures from increased imports and decreased exports.
In Kottayam, prices range between Rs. 860 and Rs. 870 per kilogram for Comoros origin, Rs. 860 to Rs. 880 for Madagascar, and Rs. 890 to Rs. 920 for Sri Lankan origin cloves. Meanwhile, domestic clove prices in Kottayam have remained stable, ranging from Rs. 950 to Rs. 980 per kilogram. The domestic market is experiencing pressure from higher supply due to increased imports and reduced exports.
In Shimoga, prices remain unchanged from the previous session, with clove prices per kilogram ranging between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,020. Additionally, clove stems were priced at Rs. 150 per kilogram in Kottayam, marking a decrease of Rs. 10 per kilogram compared to the previous session.
Despite the challenges posed by supply dynamics, clove prices have shown resilience, maintaining their stability in both domestic and international markets.
