Mumbai, March 20 (CommoditiesControl): Clove prices have demonstrated resilience in the face of shifting market trends, maintaining stability across key trading hubs. Reports indicate that prices for this spice have held firm.
In Kottayam, a prominent trading center, clove prices exhibit a range of Rs. 860 to Rs. 870 per kilogram for Comoros origin, Rs. 860 to Rs. 880 for Madagascar, and Rs. 890 to Rs. 920 for Sri Lanka origins. Meanwhile, domestic clove prices in Kottayam have remained steady, ranging from Rs. 950 to Rs. 980 per kg. The stability in prices within the domestic market comes against the backdrop of increased imports and reduced exports, factors that collectively exert pressure on prices.
Shimoga, another significant market, showed a similar sentiment, with clove prices holding steady between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 1,020 per kilogram, unchanged from the previous trading session.
Notably, clove stems maintain a stable pricing at Rs. 160 per kilogram in Kottayam, aligning with the pricing observed in the preceding session.
