New Delhi, April 29 (Commodities Control): The cotton markets across major producing states of the country witnessed a substantial increase in arrivals on Monday, totaling 38,350 bales, compared to 30,900 bales reported on the previous trading day.
Among the major producing states, Punjab, Haryana, Upper and Lower Rajasthan collectively received 1,450 bales of cotton. Gujarat reported an arrival of 10,000 bales, while Maharashtra saw a significant influx of 20,000 bales. Additionally, Madhya Pradesh received 1,800 bales, while Andhra Pradesh-Telangana combined reported 3,000 bales. Tamil Nadu received 100 bales, while Karnataka's mandis saw the arrival of 2,000 bales. Notably, there were no arrivals reported in Odisha.
