New Delhi, April 15 (Commodities Control): The arrival of cotton into the markets of major producing states across the country totaled 48,800 bales on Monday, marking a notable increase from the previous trading day's arrivals of 41,900 bales.
Among the major producing states, Punjab, Haryana, Upper Rajasthan, and Lower Rajasthan collectively contributed 5,000 bales to the total arrivals.
Gujarat witnessed arrivals of 15,000 bales, while Maharashtra recorded 20,000 bales. Additionally, Madhya Pradesh saw 2,000 bales, and Andhra Pradesh-Telangana combined accounted for 3,100 bales.
In smaller quantities, 200 bales arrived in Tamil Nadu, 3,000 bales in Karnataka mandis, and 100 bales in Odisha.
