New Delhi, April 13 (Commodities Control): Due to weak procurement from spinning mills, cotton prices declined for the third consecutive day in Maharashtra on Saturday, while a decline in daily arrivals of Kapas was recorded in the state mandis.
According to traders, cotton prices have declined for the third consecutive day due to weak procurement from the state's spinning mills, which has led to a decline in cotton export deals due to weak prices in the world market. At the same time, the sales of MNC companies increased as compared to before. Therefore, its price in the spot market is expected to soften further. Kapas prices are stable in the state but cottonseed prices weakened by Rs 100.
Today, the arrival of Kapas in the producer markets of the state was 15,000 bales, whereas the arrival on the previous trading day was 18,000 bales.
