Mumbai, 10 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol):Kabuli chickpea prices saw a rebound yesterday in Indore's container trade, offsetting previous losses experienced earlier in the week. Trading activities were limited as the Indore mandi remained closed in observance of the Cheti Chand festival.
Prices for larger-sized Kabuli chana experienced an uptick, while smaller varieties held steady. Market analysts anticipate prices to remain relatively stable in the near future. While strong domestic demand lends support to prices, the combination of an ample crop this season and reduced export prospects due to competitive international pricing and better quality chickpeas from other origins could limit significant price gains.
