Mumbai, 04 Apr 2024 (Commoditiescontrol): Prices for Kabuli Chana (Kabuli chickpeas) have remained stable in Indore's major mandis and surrounding markets. Additionally, Mexican and PKV-2 varieties in Delhi reportedly held steady after a brief period of increase.
Arrivals at the Indore mandi reached approximately 5,000 bags, consistent with the previous trading session. Overall arrivals across Kabuli growing areas in Madhya Pradesh were estimated between 35,000 and 40,000 bags, a 10,000 bag increase compared to earlier figures. Despite the higher arrivals, market prices have been supported by robust demand.
Reflecting these mandi prices, container prices were also observed to be stable.
Market experts predict that Kabuli prices will likely remain range-bound in the near future. This is due to a relatively balanced supply-demand scenario, with ongoing arrivals offset by consistent demand.
