New Delhi, Feb 14 (Commoditiescontrol): On Wednesday, Mentha oil prices exhibited minimal movement in the spot market, largely due to subdued buying activity. Market analysts have noted that the demand for mentha oil continues to remain weak, contributing to the overall stability in prices.
In Chandausi market, mentha oil prices maintained nearly flat trend, quoting at Rs 986-988 per kg. Similarly, in the Barabanki market, prices held steady at Rs 958 per kg.
The benchmark contract for Mentha oil, set for delivery in February, witnessed a slight uptick in futures trading. At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the contract was trading Rs 3 higher, reaching Rs 893.2 per kg. The open interest stood at 736, with a trading volume of 89.
Mentha Oil contract for FEB delivery settled at Rs 896.2/quintal showing an rise of Rs 3 over previous close of Rs 893.2/quintal,The contract moved in the range of Rs 888.1-903 for the day. Open interest was simillar by 0 MT to 736 MT, while trading volume was simillar by 0 to 89 MT.
