MUMBAI, March 14, (Commoditiescontrol) : Market Talk: Oil prices surged as data revealed a decline in U.S. crude stockpiles for the first time in seven weeks and Ukrainian strikes targeted Russian refineries. Brent crude and WTI both climbed by 0.4% to $84.36 and $80.05 per barrel, respectively. Analysts anticipate further upward pressure on prices, driven by reduced inventories and geopolitical tensions. However, sustainability of the increase may hinge on the resolution of geopolitical concerns, according to senior analyst Ipek Ozkardeskaya of Swissquote Bank.
