Jaipur, 17 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex continued its bearish activities on Wednesday amid weak activities as most of the markets were closed on account of Ram Navami festival. Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake extended their fall today.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were Rs 25 down at Rs 5,350-5375 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices fell Rs 3 to Rs 1001-1002 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also dropped Rs 3 to 1011-1012 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices stayed at Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 4.5 lakh bags across the country, down 2.5 lakh bags from the last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 2.50 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 50,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 50,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 25,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 15,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 60,000 bags of mustard seed.
