Ahmedabad, April 11 (Commoditiescontrol): Groundnut trading activity slowed down significantly in Saurashtra today as the Eid festival led to the closure of key mandis, including the major Gondal market. The holiday atmosphere impacted markets across the Saurashtra-Gujarat region.
Traders are now focused on tomorrow's arrivals, which will be crucial in determining market sentiment. In Rajkot, where 30,000 bags of groundnuts were pending, some trading occurred, but prices remained largely stable. Average quality prices ranged from Rs 1100-1232 per 20kg, while best quality fetched Rs 1080-1340 per 20kg. Total arrivals in Saurashtra today were estimated at only 3000-4000 bags.
