Jaipur, 11 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed and oil prices dropped on Thursday amid weak activities due to holiday of Eid-Al-Fitr. However, cake prices stayed steady. Arrivals were also down today.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned dropped Rs 50 to Rs 5,400-5425 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices declined Rs 4 to Rs 1020-1021 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also fell Rs 4 to 1030-1031 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices were flat at Rs 2535-2540 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 7.25 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 4 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 70,000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 80,000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 65000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 25,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 85,000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted flat at Rs 943 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices gained Rs 10 to Rs 970 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices also rose Rs 5 to Rs 960 per 10 kg. Degum prices were flat at Rs 885 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were quoted flat at Rs 950 per 10 kg.
