Jaipur, 10 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex saw firm tone on Wednesday amid improved buying. Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake were quoted higher in the benchmark market of Jaipur and elsewhere despite increased arrivals of oil seed.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned gained Rs 25 to Rs 5,450-5475 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 4 to Rs 1024-1025 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also gained Rs 4 to 1034-1035 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices rose Rs 15 to Rs 2535-2540 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 9.25 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, one lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, 1.10 lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 75000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 40,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around one lakh bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted flat at Rs 938 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices gained Rs 5 to Rs 960 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices also rose Rs 10 to Rs 955 per 10 kg. Degum prices rose Rs 3 to Rs 885 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were quoted flat at Rs 950 per 10 kg.
