Jaipur, 8 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed and cake prices rose on Monday but oil eased due to weak demand. As per the traders, buying activities of the processors and the stockiest increased at lower level. However, they were buying as per their short-term requirements.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned gained Rs 25 to Rs 5,475-5500 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices were flat at Rs 1022-1023 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also flat at 1032-1033 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 7.25 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 4 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 75000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, 80000 bags in Uttar Pradesh, 65000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 25,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 80000 bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted flat at Rs 943 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices were also flat at Rs 970 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices gained Rs 5 to Rs 965 per 10 kg. Degum prices were flat at Rs 885 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were quoted Rs 10 higher at Rs 980 per 10 kg.
