Jaipur, 4 April (Commoditiescontrol) Prices of mustard seed and cake were flat while oil prices eased on Thursday amid weak demand. Arrivals of mustard seed were also down compared to last session. As per the traders, demand for mustard seed from the processors and stockiest were weak.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were flat at Rs 5,525-5550 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices fell Rs 3 to Rs 1034-1035 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also dropped Rs 3 to 1044-1045 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices were flat at Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 9 lakh bags across the country, down 25000 bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 5.15 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 95000 bags in Madhya Pradesh, one lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 70000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 35,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 85000 bags of mustard seed.
