Mumbai, April 4 (Commodities Control) - India's soybean market is witnessing a notable increase in arrivals, driven by the recent upswing in oil rates.
Total soybean arrivals across the country have reached 235,000 bags, with Madhya Pradesh, the leading soybean producer, contributing 85,000 bags. Maharashtra reported a significant arrival of 125,000 bags, while Rajasthan reported 13,000 bags. The remaining states collectively accounted for an additional 12,000 bags in cumulative arrivals.
Price trends have varied across different regions. In Madhya Pradesh, soybean prices ranged from Rs 4,550 to Rs 4,650 per quintal. Maharashtra observed price fluctuations, with rates ranging from Rs 4,500 to Rs 4,650 per quintal, while Rajasthan reported prices between Rs 4,550 and Rs 4,650 per quintal.
Soybean plant prices also showed variability. In Madhya Pradesh, prices ranged from Rs 4,700 to Rs 4,800 per quintal. Maharashtra saw plant prices fluctuating between Rs 4,700 and Rs 4,825 per quintal, while in Rajasthan, prices were recorded in the range of Rs 4,700 to Rs 4,750 per quintal.
The surge in soybean arrivals, coupled with price fluctuations, reflects the complex interplay of market forces and regional dynamics in the Indian soybean market.
