Jaipur, 3 April (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed complex saw mixed tone on Wednesday. Prices of mustard seed were flat while oil prices rose but cake prices declined further. Market witnessed lacklustre demand from the processors and the stockiest at higher level. At the same time, there were pressure of high arrivals.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned were flat at Rs 5,525-5550 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices gained Rs 3 to Rs 1037-1038 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also rose Rs 3 to 1047-1048 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped further Rs 15 to Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 9.25 lakh bags across the country, up 2 lakh bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 5.25 lakh bags in Rajasthan, one lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, one lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 75000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 35,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 90000 bags of mustard seed.
