Jaipur, 23 March (Commoditiescontrol) Bearish tone continued in the mustard seed complex on Saturday amid weak demand and supply. Prices of mustard seed, oil and cake dropped due to bearish buying. As per the traders, the processors and the stockiest are now reluctant to increase their stock position at higher level.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned dropped Rs 25 to trade at Rs 5,450-5475 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices declined Rs 14 to Rs 1014-1016 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also dropped Rs 14 to 1025-1026 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices fell Rs 5 to Rs 2475-2480 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 11 lakh bags across the country. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 6.25 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 1.25 lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, one lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 75000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 40,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 1.35 lakh bags of mustard seed.
