Ahmedabad, March 22 (Commodities Control): Groundnut prices remained stable due to slow-selling amid declining arrivals in the Saurashtra market. Arrivals were primarily concentrated in the Gondal market, with other centres experiencing limited supply. Reduced buying activity, likely influenced by financial year-end considerations, further contributed to price stability.
Gondal, a major Saurashtra trading centre, recorded arrivals of 6,000 bags (35kg each), down from previous levels. Traders observed low supply trends across the region. Notably, the Rajkot market has suspended arrivals until April 2, highlighting limited groundnut availability in the near term.
"Market activity is expected to remain subdued through March-end. The focus now shifts to April sales patterns, which will significantly influence price direction," commented a market analyst.
