Ahmedabad, March 20 – Peanut markets in Gujarat are experiencing reduced arrivals and softer prices as the March financial period comes to a close. Due to the upcoming week-long holiday starting Saturday, fresh peanut arrivals have halted in Rajkot and significantly decreased in Gondal.
Key figures:
Gondal: Arrivals down to 9507 sacks (35 kg each). Average quality prices at 1231-1321 rupees/20 kg, best quality at 1156-1266 rupees/20 kg.
Rajkot: Fresh arrivals stopped, trading on pending stock. Average prices at 1075-1232 rupees/20 kg, best quality at 1100-1320 rupees/20 kg.
Saurashtra region: Total arrivals approximately 15,000 sacks, a significant decrease from last week's 30,000-35,000 sacks.
