Jaipur, 16 March (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed, oil and cake prices fell on Saturday after a week-long winning streak. Buying activities slowed down at higher evel while supplies of oil increased. Prices of mustard seed are likely to remain range-bound as its procurement has begun in the Kota range of Rajasthan, a trade analyst said.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned fell Rs 25 to Rs 5,575-5600 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices dropped Rs 3 to Rs 1051-1052 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices also gained Rs 3 to 1061-1062 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 15 to Rs 2520-2525 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 14.50 lakh bags across the country, up 25,000 bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 7.5 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 1.80 lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, 1.85 lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 85,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 65,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 1.85 lakh bags of mustard seed.
