AHMEDABAD, March 13 (Commoditiescontrol) – Castor seed prices in Gujarat experienced a rise of Rs 5-10 per 20 kg today. The increase is fueled by persistent demand from millers as they anticipate a week-long market closure starting April 24th due to the March financial ending and the Holi festival.
Arrivals in Gujarat totaled 97,000 bags (35 kg each), a slight decrease from yesterday's levels. Average castor seed prices remained steady within the Rs 1155-1175 per 20 kg range.
The bullish trend in the futures market further contributed to today's price increase. Key prices at close:
Jagana Sheepsors: Rs 1175 per 20 kg (+ Rs 20)
N.K: Rs 1195 per 20 kg (+ Rs 5)
Kandla: Rs 1180-1190 per 20 kg
