Ahmedabad, March 12 (Commoditiescontrol): Castor seed arrivals in Gujarat have remained at 1 lakh bags for the second day. Despite this, prices remained steady due to matching demand from mills. In the past two days, arrivals surpassed 2 lakh bags.
Traders report approximately 1,00,000 bags arriving today, with 78,000 bags from Gujarat, 13,000 from Rajasthan, and 8,000-9,000 bags going directly to mills. Castor seed prices averaged Rs 1150-1 65 per 20 kg.
The lack of significant changes in the futures market has contributed to stability in castor seed prices. Specific prices remained constant throughout the day: Jagana Shippers at Rs 1186 per 20 kg, NK at Rs 1205, and Kandla at Rs 1175-1185 per 20 kg. Ready Kandla delivery castor oil prices were also steady at Rs 1200-1202 per 10 kg.
