Jaipur, 12 March (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard seed and oil prices rose amid improved buying on Tuesday. Arrivals were down compared to last session. Prices of
cake were down due to weak demand. As per the traders, the processors and the stockiest are seen interested in buying mustard seed as demand for oil is likely to remain higher during Holi festival.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned gained Rs 50 to Rs 5,450-5475 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices rose Rs 10 to Rs 1021-1022 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices were also gained Rs 10 to 1031-1032 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 40 to Rs 2475-2480 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 13 lakh bags across the country, down 25,000 bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 6.75 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 1.65 lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, 1.70 lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 65,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 65,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 1.60 lakh bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 14 higher at Rs 915 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices gained Rs 10 to Rs 945 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 995 per 10 kg. Degum prices gained Rs 5 to Rs 925 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were quoted Rs 15 higher at Rs 975 per 10 kg.
