Jaipur, 11 March (Commoditiescontrol) Mustard complex turned bearish on Monday amid supply pressure. Arrivals of mustard seed rose sharply, following which prices declined. Prices of mustard oil and cake were also down despite firmer tone in the imported edible oils. As per the market analysts, demand for mustard oil is down.
Prices of mustard seed with 42% conditioned fell Rs 125 to Rs 5,400-5425 per quintal kachchi (excluding GST), in the benchmark market of Jaipur.
Mustard oil expeller prices dropped Rs 14 to Rs 1011-1012 per 10kg. Kachchi Ghani prices were also declined Rs 14 to 1021-1022 per 10kg. Mustard cake prices dropped Rs 20 to Rs 2515-2520 per quintal in Jaipur.
Total arrivals of mustard seed were around 13.25 lakh bags across the country, down 4.25 lakh bags from last session. Arrivals of mustard seed were around 7 lakh bags in Rajasthan, 1.75 lakh bags in Madhya Pradesh, 1.75 lakh bags in Uttar Pradesh, 40,000 bags in Punjab and Haryana and 70,000 bags in Gujarat. The major markets of states received around 1.65 lakh bags of mustard seed.
At Kandla port, CPO prices were quoted Rs 5 higher at Rs 900 per 10kg and RBD palmolein prices gained Rs 10 to Rs 930 per 10 kg. Soyoil refine prices rose Rs 5 to Rs 980 per 10 kg. Degum prices gained Rs 5 to Rs 920 per 10 kg. Sunflower refine oil prices were quoted Rs 10 higher at Rs 960 per 10 kg.
